HERE IS A LIST OF SERVICES AND HOW MUCH EACH ONE WILL COST. There may be variations, depending on specific circumstances, but this is the main guide to what I give you, and what you give me.

1.     VIABILITY ASSESSMENT ..................................................................  £50                                     

Send me your idea, just as it comes out of your head, a short synopsis (usually on just one page)  or a "treatment" (a couple of pages) describing the project, and how you see it. I will read it, research current projects in development if necessary, and send you back a single page report with my opinion.

2.     SCRIPT EVALUATION ........................................................................  £80

Send me your script, which I will read twice, making notes for myself. I will then send you a couple of pages on how I see it.  This is sometimes known as "script coverage". I will address issues such as story-line, pace and structure, and I will comment on originality, character strength, and where I see it "sitting" in the current market place. I will also advise you HONESTLY on whether I feel you should press on with it, look at it from a new perspective, or start from scratch with a totally different version of the idea. Sounds tough, but that's writing.

3.      FULL ANALYSIS ..................................................................................  £120

Send me your SECOND DRAFT (at least, or maybe third, fourth or fifth) script, and I will carry out a full analysis. I will send you a detailed break-down of what I have read and my considered opinion of how I feel it should develop.  MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL I will address the vital question "IS IT FUNNY?" We are talking situation COMEDY after all !  I will then help you to address any problems in ensuring that the script will make the reader laugh. Because if no-one laughs, it's not a comedy, is it? And if it's not a comedy, no-one will consider comissioning it as such.

4.     FULL ANALYSIS AND CONSULTATION ......................................  £120 plus £50 per hour

Analysis as above (3), followed by a face to face consultation, for as long as you choose, at £50 per hour or part thereof. Add reasonable expenses (20p per mile, or the cost of rail fares/tube fares etc) and we can discuss the project, and where to go next.

5.     CONSULTATION .............................................................................. £50 per hour + travel expenses

If you want to discuss your project / idea face to face rather than sending it to me, that's fine. The cost for one hour is the same as " Option 1" deliberately for that reason. If you can't explain your idea in a single hour, then perhaps it's too complicated ! 

Beyond this range of options, I can quote for full series evaluation, mentoring on a regular basis, casting advice and other professional services by individual negotiation.
